Average retail fuel prices in Hungary fell further on Saturday, according to a Facebook post from the fuel price portal Holtankoljak.hu. The national average price of 95-octane petrol dropped by 8 forints compared with the Friday level, while diesel fell by 1 forint. Petrol prices have been falling since the start of the week, the portal said, and the decline continued into the weekend.

After the latest change, 95-octane petrol averaged 611 forints a litre at Hungarian filling stations. Diesel averaged 721 forints a litre, leaving a gap of 110 forints between the two fuels. Individual filling stations may charge prices that differ from these national averages.

Diesel holds a wider premium

The fall in diesel was much smaller than in petrol. Diesel remains the more expensive fuel by a wide margin, and the 110-forint difference is the figure the portal highlighted.
