Fed decision awaited

Investors are watching for the Federal Reserve’s rate decision, due Wednesday US time, which falls on Thursday, 29 October, at 01.00 WIB in Indonesia, with a press conference to follow at 01.30 WIB. Market consensus points to the policy rate holding in a range of 3.75 to 4.00 percent. The Fed had raised rates by 25 basis points in September 2026. Remarks from Fed Chair Kevin Warsh are awaited.

Weak demand at bond auction

The weighted average yield on winning bids for roughly 10-year tenors came to 7.54 percent, up 30 basis points over two weeks and approximately 147 basis points higher than at the start of 2026.
