Outlook discussed on air

The revised figures were discussed in a CNBC Indonesia Squawk Box segment featuring Pinnacle Investment Indonesia chief executive Guntur Putra, alongside host Shania Alatas. The segment also addressed the launch of a gold ETF on the Indonesian capital market, which the stock exchange authority introduced to widen the range of investment instruments available to investors.

Putra said the gold ETF’s potential looks promising. No specific figures for assets under management, transaction value or investor numbers were given in the segment.

Gold backdrop

Gold stood at $4,187.18 an ounce as of 05:28 GMT on 12 October. Separately, CFTC data showed speculators’ net long position in gold at 210,335 contracts in the week of 6 October, down from 218,632 contracts a week earlier.
