Saudi Aramco reported a net profit of 135.9 billion riyals for the third quarter of 2026, up 34.6 percent from about 101 billion riyals in the same period last year. The increase came amid a Middle East conflict that has kept crude oil prices high.

Attacks on energy infrastructure

Shipping through the Bab al-Mandeb Strait and the Strait of Hormuz has been disrupted by Houthi and Iranian action.

Amin H. Nasser, President and CEO of Saudi Aramco, said geopolitical uncertainty and attacks on major energy facilities continued to worsen the global energy supply crisis in the third quarter, with serious implications for global energy security. Other large global energy companies also saw profit increases, with supply disruptions from the Middle East pushing up energy commodity prices and refining margins.

Profit comparison

Aramco’s third-quarter 2025 net profit stood at about 101 billion riyals. The jump to 135.9 billion riyals this year reflects the elevated price environment tied to the ongoing conflict.

The company’s results add to a broader pattern among major energy producers, several of which have reported stronger earnings this year as Middle East tensions disrupt supply routes and support prices.
