Indonesia’s Financial System Stability Committee (KSSK) said financial system stability remained maintained during the third quarter of 2026. The assessment covers July to September 2026.

Contents
  • Domestic pressures build
  • Committee outlook

Pressures increased entering October 2026. The committee pointed to global geopolitical escalation, which raised world energy prices and tightened monetary conditions. Domestic stock market volatility added to the strain.

Domestic pressures build

Tight domestic liquidity and issues around MSCI affected the Indonesian stock market. These developments increased pressure on the rupiah exchange rate and caused outflows from the stock market.

KSSK said domestic economic growth remained solid and financial intermediation was maintained. Fiscal, monetary and financial sector stability all stayed well maintained over the period.

Committee outlook

KSSK said Indonesia’s economic fundamentals and adaptive policy responses remain the support for financial system stability. The committee will continue forward-looking assessments.
