Net pay outpaces gross

Average net earnings climbed 10 percent to HUF 519,900. Real earnings, adjusted for consumer price inflation of 1.3 percent, rose 8.6 percent.

KSH links the faster rise in net pay to tax changes that took effect this year.

Median gross earnings reached HUF 611,400, up 8.5 percent. Median net earnings came to HUF 433,400, rising 9.9 percent.
