Netflix reported third-quarter earnings per share of $0.87, which was 3.7% above the $0.84 forecast. Revenue for the quarter came in at $12.9 billion, below the $13.1 billion forecast, a gap of $256.8 million or 2.0%. The figures were published in the company’s filing on October 20, 2026, and cover the third quarter of fiscal 2026.

Earnings and revenue against forecast

The earnings gap was $0.03 per share. The revenue shortfall ran in the other direction, so the two measures did not point the same way against expectations. Earnings were above forecast while revenue was below it. The company’s fiscal year does not necessarily match the calendar year, so the quarter is labelled as the third quarter of fiscal 2026.

The Nasdaq Composite stood at 26,489.89 points at 20:39 GMT on October 20, up 0.22% from the previous close. That index measurement is separate from the company’s own figures and is not presented as a cause of them.
