Goldman Sachs reported earnings of $17.01 per share for the third quarter of fiscal 2026, which was $1.96 above the forecast of $15.05 and 13.0% above it. Revenue came in at $18.7 billion, against a forecast of $17.5 billion, a difference of $1.2 billion or 6.6% above the forecast.

Earnings and revenue against forecast

The earnings figure was the larger of the two gaps measured against forecast, at 13.0%. Revenue was 6.6% above its forecast. Both figures are taken from the company’s own filing, which the bank submitted to the Securities and Exchange Commission on 13 October 2026, and the comparison is with the forecasts recorded for the same quarter.

The filing gives no previous-period comparison in the figures available for this report, so this story does not describe how the results moved from the prior quarter.

In markets the same day, the Nasdaq Composite stood at 27,245.90 points at the close of 12 October 2026, down 0.44% from the previous close.
