US gross domestic product grew 3.4 percent quarter-on-quarter in the third quarter, the Bureau of Economic Analysis estimated, beating the 3.2 percent that analysts had expected. Investment and private consumption drove the rise, and the pace was the fastest in four quarters.
Investment leads the gain
Investment spending rose 19.4 percent and added 3.3 percentage points to growth. That was the largest investment increase since the second quarter of 2025. Analysts linked much of the spending to the boom in artificial intelligence infrastructure. Mexico has benefited from that demand as a supplier of technology manufacturing.
Households keep spending
Household spending grew 3.8 percent year-on-year, extending a run of two quarters of annual advances. Consumption contributed 2.5 percentage points to growth. Services alone added 1.8 percentage points.
