Breakdown by asset class

The bond sales were the second-largest outflow after equities. Government domestic borrowing instruments, known as DİBS, accounted for $44.4 million of the net selling.

External debt issued by the non-government sector, known as ÖST, saw $20.7 million of net sales by non-residents over the same period.

Context from the weekly data

The figures cover the week of 16 October, measured from the start to the end of that period. The statistics do not give the year.

Borsa Istanbul equities accounted for the largest share of the outflow, at $88.8 million.
