Bitcoin rose about 0.8 percent to around $82,700 on Monday, extending a rebound from a Sunday dip. DeFi tokens led gains across the crypto market, and the CoinDesk 80 index rose 1.3 percent, though another passage in the article gives 0.9 percent for that index.
The move followed China’s third-quarter GDP growth of 4.5 percent, which beat expectations. Nasdaq 100 futures also rebounded by more than 1 percent after the index fell 4.5 percent in its worst week since June.
DeFi tokens lead the rally
The DeFi sector gained 0.81 percent across CoinDesk benchmarks. Pump.fun’s token rose 7.6 percent, while its 24-hour trading volume doubled to $215 million.
Arbitrum’s ARB token gained 6.7 percent. The rise came after the Arbitrum Foundation announced its Stablecoin Growth Program on Thursday, which allocates 2 million ARB to the first 10 teams holding $10 million in USDG.
Derivatives and sentiment
Total 24-hour crypto futures volume reached $146 billion, up 51 percent. Open interest rose 1.25 percent to $141 billion, and liquidations totalled $329 million.
The Altcoin Season index stood at 56 out of 100, below last week’s high of 63, which was the 2026 record.
