Governance proposal AIP-143 prepared the ground for the mainnet activation after receiving approval from the Aptos community in March, which was followed by a production code release in April.
Broader network developments
Other Layer 1 networks also expanded functionality, as the Sui token traded at $0.76 on Monday. Sui processes complex operations by grouping up to 1024 actions in a single transaction block. On its testnet, the Hashi protocol has been operating since July to allow native Bitcoin to function as collateral within the Sui ecosystem, targeting an estimated $1400 billion of dormant Bitcoin held outside decentralised finance strategies.
The Crypto Fear & Greed Index stood at 70 points. Total cryptocurrency market capitalization stood at $2880 billion.
