The Euro Area manufacturing PMI fell to 52.7 in October from 52.9 in September, its lowest level in two months, according to S&P Global. The reading remains above 50, the line that separates expansion from contraction.
Factory output still grew, though more slowly. The output index slipped to 52.8 in October from 53.6 in September, the lowest reading in four months.
New orders and costs
Growth in new orders slowed, and supply chain pressures persisted. Input costs rose at their fastest pace since May.
Manufacturers passed some of those costs on. They raised selling prices during the month.
