Breadth was mixed. 351 stocks advanced, 308 declined and 304 finished unchanged. Trading volume reached 319.63 million lots, worth 8.89 trillion rupiah.

Sector moves and market pressure

Technology stocks led the losses, falling 1.3 percent, while financial shares dropped 0.2 percent. Desy Erawati, an analyst at Phintraco Sekuritas, said market issues were still tied to MSCI.

Brent crude rose 1.93 dollars, or 1.8 percent, on 12 October 2026 to close at 106.65 dollars a barrel, its highest since 15 September. West Texas Intermediate gained 1.89 dollars, or 2 percent, to 93.74 dollars. Supply worries followed attacks on Saudi Arabia, where Riyadh airport was closed after a missile strike on Saturday that killed 13 people and injured more than 300.

Wider regional tensions

The Houthis have attacked Saudi Arabia, and the conflict involving Iran and the United States has widened. Donald Trump said Washington was considering joining Saudi Arabia in attacking the Houthis, but no US military operation had begun.
