The euro stood at $1.1597 at 10:04 GMT on Friday, 11 September 2026. Across the past 14 days, the currency pair recorded a high of 1.1634 and dropped to a low of 1.1582.

CFTC Currency Positioning

Data from the Commodity Futures Trading Commission showed speculators held a net short position in the euro of 24,925 contracts in the report of 01 Sep 2026. That total represented a reduction of 11,427 contracts compared with the previous week, when the net short position had stood at 36,352 contracts. A net short figure indicates that speculative traders hold more contracts betting on a currency to decline than on it to appreciate.

Other foreign exchange rates were recorded at the same time on Friday, 11 September 2026. USD/JPY stood at 154.065 yen, near its 14-day low, while GBP/USD traded at $1.3506.
