This policy explains what MacroHerald collects when you read the site, why, and what
you can do about it. It applies to macroherald.com.
Who is responsible
The data controller is Enver Adıgüzel, trading as a sole proprietorship registered in
Türkiye. You can reach us through our contact page.
What we collect
- Server logs — your IP address, browser and the pages you request.
These are produced automatically by our hosting and content-delivery providers and are
used to keep the site running and to detect abuse. - Analytics — aggregated statistics about which articles are read and
how readers arrive. We do not use this to identify you personally. - What you send us — if you email us or use a form, we keep that message
and your address so we can reply. - Newsletter — if you subscribe, we store your email address until you
unsubscribe. Every email carries an unsubscribe link.
Cookies
We use cookies that are necessary for the site to work, and — only with your consent —
cookies for analytics and advertising. You choose when the consent banner first appears and
can change your choice at any time from the cookie settings link in the footer.
Advertising and affiliate links
Advertising partners may set their own cookies to measure and target ads, subject to your
consent. Some broker links on this site are commercial; how that works is set out in our
Advertising & Affiliate Disclosure.
Who we share data with
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with the service providers that make
the site work — hosting, content delivery, analytics, email delivery — and only as needed to
provide those services.
How long we keep it
Server logs are kept for a short operational period. Messages you send us are kept while
the matter is open and for a reasonable period after. Newsletter addresses are kept until you
unsubscribe.
Your rights
If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you have the right to
access the personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to object to or
restrict its processing, and to receive it in a portable form. You may also withdraw consent
for non-essential cookies at any time. To exercise any of these, write to us through the
contact page. You also have the right to complain to your national
data protection authority.
Children
This site is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect their data.
Changes
We will update this page when our practices change. The version shown here is the one in
force.
